We had such a fun time at the circus yesterday afternoon. Aubrey & I went with Cindy & JJ and Rachel & Zoe. Our little toddlers LOVED the show! We have never seen them sit that still for that long. Here is Aubrey telling about some of the things that she saw at the circus.
As soon as we walked into the stadium the girls saw the elephants and ponies that they could take rides on. Aubrey wanted the pony ride and Zoe the elephant ride. We waited for JJ and then went to the elephant ride first. They said Aubrey could go on for free with Cindy, JJ, Rachel & Zoe - but she wanted nothing to do with it. She just kept telling me "Neigh Neigh" (her horsey sound). So we took pics for those four and then headed over to the ponies. Aubrey loved her pony ride!
Then we headed back to our seats and shared some cotton candy. Zoe immediately loved it and so did Aubrey. JJ wouldn't even try it - and opted to feed his to Aubrey instead. It was super cute!
Then the show began. They turned off the lights in the stadium, had strobe lights going and music blasting. I looked over at our munchkins and they were all so mesmerized. And that is pretty much how they stayed for the entire show!
Here are some of the things we saw. I didn't get any non-blurry shots of the arial acrobats, but they were really awesome.
The lions and tigers were first - we all loved them!
The dancing doggies were definitely Aubrey's favorite.
They even rode scooters.
The Contortionist was really cool.
This guy was walking around a wheel that was spinning as it was going all the way up in the air. He even did some jump rope on top. Really cool.
The elephants were fun.
One of my favorites was this guy who stacked chairs on top of four bottles as he climbed up to the top. He even did a handstand on top.
At intermission they brought out a bear and the dogs to take pictures with. They charged $10 - so we opted for the "get as close as we can and take our own free pic."
I loved Aubrey's cute smile!
We had to get a shot of Aubrey and her favorite act - the dogs.
I am so glad that we were able to go. It was so much fun. The kids were so entertained that it was a nice break for us mommies too!
