Our Christmas

We had a fun Christmas. Christmas morning Aubrey was real excited to see what Santa left under the tree. She ran to the family room and then stopped and stared. She didn't know what to think or touch first. See video below.

Then she warmed up a bit and started playing with her new toys.

In the next video Aubrey is playing with her new bingo doggy. She had gotten a few other doggies for christmas that she had loaded into her stroller and wheeled them to her bedroom.

Aubrey got a toy camera in her stocking. She went around taking pictures of us. Then she sat it down and started putting stuffed animals on her chair. Then she grabbed the camera and took pictures of the animals. It totally cracked me up - because if I think Aubrey looks real cute and I want to take a picture of her, I will sit her on a chair to take the picture. I think she was mimicking me. Too funny!

Daddy, do you like the wallet I gave you?

Santa even surprised Mommy when he left a present under the tree for Aubrey & Mom. It is really cool. In the spring we will send in for our free live caterpillars and then we put them in this netted pavilion and watch the cycle from caterpillar to cocoon to butterfly. I am excited. I love butterflies!

Look Mom, Piglet is on my new outfit from Grandma & Grandpa Buell!

After we opened our presents we got ready and headed out to Elliot & Katie's house. We had breakfast and then exchanged our sibling presents and gave presents to Mom & Dad.

Doing a little cleanup with the Vacuum Grandma & Grandpa Bagley gave me.

Then we hung out and watched movies and played games the rest of the day.

When we got home to put Aubrey to bed, she saw all of her new toys again and wanted to play with them. It wasn't easy getting her down. All in all it was a real fun day. I think Aubrey enjoyed her 2nd Christmas!

Christmas Eve

A tradition in the Bagley home has always been to act out the nativity story on Christmas Eve. This year we decided that Aubrey & JJ should be Mary & Joseph. Having a 1.5 and 1 year old playing the main characters certainly make for an interesting reenactment. Below is a short videoclip.

After we got home we put out some milk and cookies for Santa. Aubrey thought that was real fun. As we were putting her down for bed I told her that she needed to go to sleep so that Santa could come. She started signing "eat". I asked her if she was hungry. She shook her head "no" and signed "eat" followed by "milk". It finally dawned on me that she was telling me that Santa was going to eat the milk and cookies we left for him. What a little cutie!

We were glad to see that Santa enjoyed the milk and cookies and left Aubrey a little thank you note!

Fun with "Nana" and "Pa"

Since my parents were in town the week of Christmas, we had lots of family time. Aubrey was sick the whole week so if her eyes look a little droopy that is why. But, even being sick she was in pretty good spirits and would play with Grandma and Grandpa pretty good.

Aunt Summer & Uncle Steve gave Aubrey & JJ their presents early. Aubrey got a pink doggy that lights up when you press it's foot.

As you can see, Aubrey loves her new doggy.

Gingerbread Houses, Santa & Grandma & Grandpa Came to Town

Building Gingerbread houses is one of our family's favorite Christmas traditions. On Saturday afternoon we got together with Summer & Steve and Elliot & Katie to make our houses. We had a real fun time. Aubrey was only interested for a few minutes and then tired out and needed a nap. She sure liked seeing the finished results after she woke up! Hopefully next year she will want to participate more.

What a mess we made!

The backside (Summer & Steve have the S on the back for their initials. Cute huh. Elliot & Katie's is in the middle and ours is on the right)

Playing with Grandpa

Dad drove in late Saturday night. So we got to visit with him for a few hours on Sunday evening. Aubrey had lots of fun playing ball with Grandpa. In fact when I asked her this morning about seeing Grandpa last night she said "Pay ba" (play ball).

Playing dress up with Aunt Katies old clothes.

Santa's Cutest Lil' Helpers

This morning Cindy & I took Aubrey & JJ to the mall in their Santa outfits to take a picture together with Santa. Grandma and Grandpa met us their and treated the kids to some rides and got pizza for all of us. Both Aubrey & JJ went to Grandma & Grandpa really well. It should be a fun week!

We actually got them both on his lap without them screaming. (Although you can see from Aubrey's expression she was not thrilled about it!)
