I Knew This Day Would Come

Yesterday, I decided to give the tub a good scrub. Aubrey wanted to be with me - so I took all of her bath toys out of the tub and put them and her on the bath mat beside me. I made sure the toilet seat was down and began scrubbing away. I could hear Aubrey playing with her toys and was glad that she was content. When I was just about done, Aubrey started to cry. I looked behind me and saw her finger stuck in the lid of the toilet. I figured she tried to open the seat and it fell back down onto her finger. So, I went to retrieve her finger. When I opened the lid, to my surprise, I saw all of her toys floating inside! Since, the damage was already done, I should have snapped a picture. But, I was so shocked and disgusted that my only thought was to get those toys out of there and cleaned. I guess closing the toilet seat lid is no longer sufficient!

Fun with Summer on her Birthday

Summer didn't have to work until 6:00 today, so we got to spend her birthday with her! We first took her to breakfast at IHOP. Esther & Katie met us there for a yummy breakfast. Then we headed to 7-peaks where we spent the rest of the day. Summer didn't get a season pass like the rest of us (too busy planning a wedding to spend all of her time at 7-peaks) so it was fun to get to hang out with her there. Cindy and JJ meet up with us there and she brought some of our cousins kids. I think Summer had fun playing with all of the kids today. We sure had a fun day with Summer. We hope she had as much fun as we did!

Swimming with JJ

On Tuesday, Cindy & JJ came over to play with Aubrey in her pool. They were sure cute together. Aubrey did something she has never done before. She was all possessive of her toys. I couldn't believe it. We would ask her to give a toy to JJ and she would grab it and throw it the other direction. That little stinker. She also told me "No" for the first time. I thought I had a little more time before this stage has begun. Oh well.

Happy Birthday Summer & Congratulations

Happy 25th Birthday Summer! I hope you have a great day!

While we were away in Canada the last Bagley kid got engaged. Congratulations Summer & Steve. They will be getting married on Sept. 5th. We can't wait for your big day!

Crooked Bush

Not too far from Radisson is this famous grove of crooked Aspens. Normal Aspens grow straight up, but these Aspens are very contorted. The soil has been tested and nobody knows why these trees in this bush turned out this way. And it's only the Aspen's - the other trees in the grove, are perfectly normal. Just across the street is a grove of Aspen's that are normal. It sure is a strange sight.

Darin & Terri's

On Wednesday we went into North Battleford to visit with Jeff's brother Darin and family. Aubrey just loved their cat. She chased that poor cat all over the house. Poor Aubrey, your parents are not pet people, so you won't be getting a Kitty of your own anytime soon. Anyway, it was a nice visit, I just wish we would have had more time to spend. We always love visiting with Darin, Terri, Shelby and Mitchell.

Take a look at the picture of Shelby. Aubrey looks a lot like she did as a baby - so maybe that's what she will look like when she is older. Shelby is such a cutie and so sweet. I would be so happy to have Aubrey be like her!

Zoo and Park

On Monday, Grandpa had a doctor's appointment in the city, so we all went and Grandma took us to the zoo. Aubrey loved the zoo. Her favorite parts were the duck pond (of course), the bunny rabbits and the mice that she tried to get out of the cage. She also tried to jump out of my arms at the duck pond so she could chase after the ducks. I think since she got to pet the calf and kitties at the farm she now thinks she can touch all animals. Funny girl.

After the zoo we stopped by a really cool park that had a Carousel, Cho Cho Train and Ferris Wheel. Aubrey enjoyed all of them, but her favorite by far was the Carousel. We had to ride it 3 times - and she was still pointing at it as we were getting into the car.
