She also decided today that it is fun to feed mommy and daddy her food. She would put the food in my mouth and then giggle, giggle, giggle. The role reversal must be so entertaining to a baby. Also, if Aubrey gets a hold of her little brush she will also try to brush mommy or daddy's hair. It's really cute!
Aubrey finds anything and everything to pull herself up with. It seems she is standing most of the day. She is also getting much braver with her cruising. She's moving faster and will go from one piece of furniture to the next. Her balance is really improving too. She no longer has to hold on for dear life. She can hold on with one hand, she can also stoop and pick something off the floor. I think she still has a ways before she takes that first step - but she is getting there.
Aubrey loves her new finger puppet books that the Easter Bunny brought her. She loves the bright, soft, large pages to turn. But, she especially loves the finger puppets. After only a few days she figured out how to put them on her thumbs. They fall off because her fingers are so small - but then she'll put them back on. That little smarty pants. I tried to get a pic. with the puppets on her thumb - but every time I came close with the camera she would get excited and they would fall off.
Another new love of Aubrey's is to hand us everything. Whatever she finds she wants to show us. She also uses it as communication. If she wants us to read her a story she will hand me the book. As soon as the book is finished she will grab the book, shut it, and hand it back to me. She is saying, "Read it again, Mom." I love that she is learning to communicate so well!
