Lately, Aubrey has been trying to figure out this whole spoon feeding thing. Ever since she has started eating solids she sometimes will try to take the spoon full of food from us and put in her mouth herself. Well, this week she has been trying to put her cheerios or other finger food onto the spoon. It is really cute. This morning, she had a freeze dried slice of apple. She motioned for me to bring her bowl of rice closer to her. She then dipped the apple into the bowl, grabbed the spoon from me and placed the apple slice onto the spoon. It was really funny. I am sure she has awhile to go before she is coordinated enough to spoon feed herself - but she is definitely trying to figure it out!
She is also obsessed with taking lids of containers off and then putting them back on. She has a toy cookie jar that she used to like to take the toy cookies in and out of. Now all she wants to do is open and close the lid!
In her tub, I had rinsed out an old bubble container and gave it to her to play with. It's the perfect size for her to fill it up with water and dump it back out again. Anyway, the other day she saw the lid on the side of the tub and all she wanted was that lid. I gave it to her and she worked at putting the lid on and off for a half hour. Sometimes the lid would get turned the wrong direction, so she would drop the container in order to turn the lid around. But, as she was turning it around the container would float away. She would get the most frustrated look on her face when it floated away and she couldn't grab it. So, then she figured out that instead of dropping the jar - she would hand me the lid and then take it back from me facing the right direction. What a little smarty pants.
When we do diaper changes she likes to play with something. This week it has been her ear thermometer. It has a plastic lid on top that she has been trying all week to be able put on it. It is pretty small and the thermometer long - so she has been struggling with it. Well today she finally got it back on. She was so proud of herself. That means, though, that soon I'll have to find something new to occupy her while we change diapers!

She is getting so big. It's always fun to see them discover new things. Katie loves our pots and pans when I am making dinner. It's a mess but so fun to see.
She is so dang cute! I just love all of her Rolls, and how chubby she is!
I am finally back to blogging!!! Yahoo
